The Daily Missions on the planet Ossus, released with patch 5. In the next rows you will find all the information you need about how to unlock the and pick up the dailies and how to complete their objectives, what rewards they provide, the locations and contents of the new reputation and gear vendors and more!
The dailies become available after you have completed the storyline on Ossus. To start the storyline you need a level 70 character. Pick up the starter mission at the terminal on board of your personal ship. Nearby the boards you will also find three more NPCs. Each one will grant you a mission as well. I have described each one of the missions in more details in the next section of the guide.
There are videos showing you how to complete them all too. The dailies are different for both factions. Your choice during the main storyline which faction you want to support, does not have a role when it comes to dailies. Empire characters do Empire missoins, Republic ones — republic.
Our scouting reports have revealed two significant threats in the Ossus wilds. We think he may be one of the leaders of the Mutated Geonosians. He has a horde of Geonosians under his command and is a dangerous foe himself. The Jedi no longer have control over it after Imperial Saboteurs destroyed the control center. It is one of the most advanced droids in the Republic arsenal, equipped with state-of-the-art weapons.
Eliminate these major threats before they can take the fight to us. This mission grants you an off-hand of your choosing with IR mods in it bound to slot.

You can quickly go and destroy the turrets while avoiding other nearby spawns. After you defeat the three Captains silversenter the instance to finish the follow-up objective. You will have to kill a few more mobs inside before you are done with this mission. These may prove valuable to those who possess them.

Rating gear can be crafted directly by crafters using materials from Master Mode Gods of the Machine operation and Ranked PvP warzones. Doing Ossus dailies and weeklies give you reputation with the vendors that sells Masterwork Gear in Ossus.
You will need to purchase the gear first that costs 2 Masterwork Data Crystal and then use that shell to purchase the gear for Masterwork Data Crystal. Mainhand and Offhand are not available from the vendors and are instead from new group content that will be released next year.
There are only two weekly missions that grant Masterwork Data Crystal, allowing you earn 2 Masterwork Data Crystals per week. If you do everything, you can potentially earn a maximum of 4 Masterwork Data Crystals per week.
These missions are either one time, daily or weeklies that you should pick up before you proceed with any of the dailies below. Both Republic and Empire players have access to them. You must finish the main story to get access to dailies.
For Republic these are picked up from the Jedi Colony. For Empire players, this Courier Droid is found in the Imperial Command Area take the lift down from the quick travel location.
You need to defeat the strong Genosian Captains that spawns to attack the Imperial positions. Look for yellow beams in the mission area and click on them. The yellow beams are not visible until you get close to them. Quick and easy, dig up the rubble piles and then loot the ancient Jedi Vessel.
Sometimes droids will spawn to defend it. Spawn rate is fairly fast. This one is a bit tedious than other dailies due to the multi-step process that have you fight more mobs. Jedi Texts you need to destroy are in the same area as the Jedi Artifacts.
This daily can be a bit tedious to do.Read more. Imperial storyline on the Jedi planet of Ossus. Choose your loyalties now in Game Update 5. The Onslaught Expansion is Live! Special thanks to Theho for figuring it out and posting the solutions in the comments and getting world first. You will need to finish the main story first. Inside the waterfall, you have to carefully drop down to reach it or you will plummet to your death. Once all the switches are clicked, go to a hidden Personal instance located in Ancient Ruins—if you see a circle above the 5 symbols, you have clicked the switches correct.
Otherwise you need to repeat step 1. Drop down this hole and follow it along. Now you will need to do a bit of jumping puzzle to reach the end. Follow the blue glowing mushrooms, they will tell you where to jump next. The jumping puzzle is quite lengthy and has 3 sections. Once you make it to the end of the jumping puzzle, you should be on the 2nd floor. Activate the switch in front of you and then jump across gaps on the floor to activate the switch all the way at the other end.Which crafting skill should I choose? - The Academy
Past the holocron I find it is easiest to jump on the left side of the columns as the gaps on the right are too big for you to jump across. Once you activated the second switch, the gaps should be now filled and you can walk safely across and grab the holocron. Go back to the hidden Personal instance located in Ancient Ruins— You should now be able to place the holocron on the pedestal and then interact with it to retrieve the datacron.
This is an easy datacron that require you get a Grappling Hook first from one of the caves in Ancient Ruins. You will need to get a grappling hook first from this hidden cave in Ancient Ruins area accessed via a cave north of Ossus Canyons. The coordinates for that hidden cave is— Interact with the corpse of the Crushed Explorer. Now go to the broken bridge in Ossus Canyons. Go up the broken stairs and then use the grappling hook to shoot yourself across the final gap.
This datacron requires a small bit of jumping. If your character has a large bodysize it may have some difficulty fitting through some of the openings. This datacron is in the Ancient Ruins area which is accessed via a cave north of Ossus Canyons. Go to location— in the Ancient Ruins area and you will find a cave. Go through the cave and on the right are some ledges you can climb on top.
Follow the path, keep going up and it will lead you straight to the datacron. In this case Don meant the verb but it can be read as a name. This page is not meant to keep you from following the link you've clicked on. Log In Play Free. Hey everyone, I am recently returned to the game after a long break. I want to do the Ossus storyline as it seems really interesting and then be able to access the daily areas and world boss, etc. I can't seem to find a group for it even in my guild.
When I click the mission terminal on my ship for the Ossus mission, the game warns me that if I haven't done a part of the story, it will pick the default decisions for me. I have done every piece of story content on this character as it is my main. Except Gods of the Machine. So my question is - do I have some major choices to make the first time I play GotM and watch the cinematics, like deciding whether or not to kill a companion, the same way it was with Spoiler. JJKerryee You can start Ossus with no worries.
The operation provides no real choices and barely any real story content. Retreat is not weakness, it is strategy. Rebamcfan Quote: Originally Posted by force-unleasher.

SWTOR Ossus Datacrons and Achievements Guide
I would suggest finishing the Fractured Alliances storyline before starting Ossus, which includes besides Iokath's story -Crisis on Umbara, A Traitor Among the Chiss and Nathema Conspiracy-flashpoints, all which provide more story and background for the events on Ossus storyline.Content approaching.

Ossusoriginally called Idux whilst under the control of Xim's empirewas the third planet in the Adega system in the Auril sector. Known to the galaxy since before 25, BBYwhen the Jedi expanded there from the planet Tython and established a Jedi AcademyOssus would become a popular world of the Galactic Republic.
This world would also become a place of great importance to the Jedi, as the site where they stored the sum of their knowledge, though such attentions came at a price. During the events this action incited, the Cron Cluster was detonatedspreading a shockwave around the galaxy.
Originally a rich, lush world, Ossus was ravaged into an arid and toxic planet when the wave struck the planet. Certain individuals survived the blast, including several Jedi. Over the passing generations, these people would become more feral, forgetting their heritage and the Force while regarding their abilities from it as magical. They became the YsannaOssus's only native sentience.
They, along with the planet, lived in peace with the rest of the galaxy through the Clone Wars between the Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systemswhen Ossus primarily became a planet of archaeological importance to the Jedi. Once the Galactic Empire rose to replace the Republic, such studies into the past of the Jedi were halted, however.
It was studied by the Yuuzhan Vongextra-galactic invaders who wished to conquer the galaxy, while they searched for a way to gain the upper hand against their primary enemies, the Jedi and New Republic, who in turn used it as a rally point for assaults against the Vong.
Ossus regained its standing with the Jedi, revived as the New Jedi Orderfollowing the war. Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker reopened the Academy there and made it the headquarters of their organization, though he later returned that distinction to the Jedi Temple on the galactic capital of Coruscant.
In an attempt to allow the Yuuzhan Vong to redeem themselves a century later, Skywalker's descendant, Kol Skywalkerfounded the Ossus Projectan initiative to use Vong terraforming to restore the surface of Ossus. Due to Sith sabotage, the project failed and infected many individuals with organic parasites. The devastating effects the parasites had on people prompted the Fel Empire to call for an end to the project, which the Jedi would not allow.
When the Galactic Alliance defended the Vong at the request of the Jedi, the Empire declared war against their loose rival, crippling and defeating them in ABY. The Jedi moved their headquarters to Ossus once again after Coruscant was ceded to the Empire and Sith. However, two days later, the Sith attacked the Ossus Academy, killing half the Jedi inside and beginning the galaxy's third Jedi Purge.
The Empire would later level the entire Academy in a barrage of turbolaser fire. Unlike the other five planets in the system, which circled the center of mass of the two binaries, Ossus orbited both its suns in a figure-eight trajectory. Two moons in turn orbited it: Mima rocky, low-gravity satellite with no atmosphere, and Nerita temperate terrestrial world with high gravity and a population of Neti expatriates. Ossus was originally a rugged, lush world with two-thirds of its surface covered in water and an abundance of flora and fauna.
In BBY it was transformed with the destruction of the Cron Cluster into a desolate, irradiated desert world. Chemical and electrical storms swept the land, and little life remained on the surface.
In the time of the Galactic Alliancesome portions of the planet were once again lush with vegetation and inhabited by wildlife. Before the Cron supernova, Ossus had a population in the hundreds of millions, inhabiting cities across the globe.
The principle city was that of Knossawhose spaceport was the main thoroughfare for arriving and leaving Ossus. The Cron incident destroyed most of the buildings in these cities. Though a world of peace, Ossus was not a defenseless planet. Scattered ground emplacements protected it from aerial attack. During the various wars with the Sith, Ossus was used as a staging ground for Jedi and Republic forces.
The planet also maintained a well-equipped military fleet for defense. Law enforcement consisted of Jedi Guardians who maintained security in the cities. Ossus had been lush with life before the Cron disaster, but after those events, little of it remained.Let me show and tell you why Jedi Under Siege is a huge step in the right direction! On December 11th, following a rough launch and extended maintenance Star Wars: The Old Republic received the biggest and by far the best update for — Patch 5.
Based on what class and alignment you choose to play through it with, you will see unique elements and dialogues. In some cases your experience will be vastly different! A ton of old characters make a return and the new ones that have been created specifically to meet you for the first time in this chapter of your adventure, are very well done. There are a couple of hits and misses, but overall the NPCs you will interact with are either from the origin class stories of the game, or a very well designed and interesting new characters that you will interact with now and in the future.
Legendary Master Gnost-Dural has moved there years ago in an attempt to both preserve the ancient Jedi knowledge, while also teaching new generations of Force users. Your job as a Republic player is to assist the Jedi while they evacuate. If you belong to the Empire, you are tasked with destroying and plundering whatever you can get your hands on.
I enjoyed it a lot. By the time I sat down to write this article, I had played through it six times.
You might think this is not a lot. Well, let me give you a comparison then, to see why this is a big thing for me. I have played through the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior stories respectively five and four times. My poor Spacebar! I had not skipped a single scene in all of my first six playthroughs. I witnessed the story from as many angles as possible.
There have been a ton of little things and details that prove how much BioWare is paying attention to the demands of the masses — more meaningful choices and branching stories! Jump into the next segment! This banner is custom-made by me Vulkk. It's not a regular display ad. Thank you! Oh, boy! There are so many hints and throwbacks.
